Why we are writing these notes

Elwenne is a warm companion you text the way you text a friend, in Arabic, English, or Arabizi, that remembers your world and reflects it back to you in your own words.

We are starting these notes because a companion that remembers is a strange thing to trust on a promise alone. You should be able to read, in plain sentences, how Elwenne remembers, what it does with what you tell it, and what it is not. It is not a medical or mental health service and it never will be. It does not speak for the people in your life. It does not sell what you say, and it will never build an advert out of your worst week.

So this is where we will write that down. We will write about texting the way the Gulf actually texts, with Arabic script, English, and Arabizi landing in one message, and what it takes to answer in the script you chose. We will write about what a good place to vent should do when you arrive angry at eleven at night, and what it should never do. We will write about the map of your people: how someone becomes a presence in your world when you mention them, how the map draws them closer or further, and why those presences never speak. And we will write about how your memory stays yours, from the key your vault is sealed with to the one tap that exports or erases all of it.

One good piece at a time, in both languages, and never a batch of them at once.
